What: The Spare Parts 2024 Open Donation Day
When: June 1st from 11am – 4pm
Where: The San Antonio Garden Center (3310 N New Braunfels Ave, San Antonio, TX 78209)

Donors, please stick to the donation time-slot you signed up for in SimpleTix. We anticipate for the first two hours will be pretty packed. Please enter Parking Lot C and form a line with your vehicle as seen in the diagram below. There will be a curved drop off point where you pull up and our team of volunteers will take your donations from your car for you. Donation receipts are available upon request.

Do not block the entrance to any of the parking lots. The San Antonio Botanical Gardens will be hosting a couple of family events so those lots will need to be accessible. Please also be on the lookout for pedestrians.

Questions and Answers

Q: Do I need to show my SimpleTix ticket?
A: No, we will have a list of those who registered to donate and will verify by name.

Q: Can I carry in my donation after I arrive?
A: If you would like to park and carry your donation to our team rather than waiting in line you may do so. Just be cautious of other vehicles and pedestrians in the parking lot.

Q: If I can’t arrive during my scheduled time, can I come later?
A: Yes, as long as you arrive before 4pm you should be okay.

Q: Can I arrive early?
A: No, please arrive on or after your scheduled donation time. If you arrive too early, our team will not be prepared to receive donations.

Q: Can I take my donation to your Center for Creative Reuse instead of The Garden Center?
A: No, all Open Donation Day donations should be taken to the San Antonio Garden Center. The Center for Creative Reuse will not have the resources to receive donations.

Q: I’m not sure if you accept a specific item I am trying to donate, who can I check with?
A: Please email hello@sparepartssa.org with specific item questions

Q: Can I buy items after I donate?
A: Not on June 1st. This is a donation drop off day only. On Sunday, June 2nd we will have all the donations sorted and ready for the public at 12:00pm. You are more than welcome to return for the MEGA Pay-What-You-Can sale.

Q: Can I get a receipt for my donation?
A: Yes, receipts will be available upon request during donation drop off. If you request a donation receipt our team may ask you to provide an estimated dollar value of your donation.
